We are looking for a talented and experienced Channel Account Manager with a strong background in MSSP to join our passionate team and drive our channel strategy to new heights.

The Opportunity

As a Channel Account Manager, you will be reporting to the SVP of Channels and Alliances, responsible for driving our partner ecosystem, managing relationships with our existing partners, and forging new relationships with MSSPs to expand our reach and enhance our market presence. You will leverage your industry expertise and existing connections to develop and execute strategic initiatives that accelerate partner success and increase revenue. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our channel partnerships and contribute to our mission of delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, recruit, and onboard new MSSP partners while nurturing and growing relationships with existing partners to maximize collaboration and revenue potential.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with partners to create and implement joint marketing and sales strategies that effectively showcase our cybersecurity offerings and drive customer engagement.
  • Training & Enablement: Provide partners with comprehensive training and resources, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools necessary to sell and support our solutions effectively.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track partner performance metrics and analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities, address challenges, and enhance partner satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including sales, marketing, and product development to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of channel initiatives.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent CyCognito at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to elevate our brand presence and cultivate relationships within the MSSP community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in channel account management, with a clear track record of success with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).
  • Demonstrated success in driving partner revenue growth and achieving sales targets in the cybersecurity sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity solutions, market dynamics, and the MSSP landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights for decision-making and strategy development.
  • Self-motivated and highly collaborative with startup experience and the ability to resourcefully operate autonomously
  • Willingness to travel as required to engage with partners and attend industry events (up to 50%).

Qualifications

  • MSSP experience required
  • Ideally sales experience with cybersecurity
  • Demonstrated track record of over-achieving quota
  • Experience in startup environments
  • Experience with outreach such as cold calling and emailing
  • Ability to navigate complicated organizations with many stakeholders and ability to hold a conversation at an executive level
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and to radiate positivity even while under pressure
  • Enterprise tech stack proficiency: Salesforce, Outreach.io, LinkedIn/Sales Navigator, 6sense
