Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Developer at Rotate, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that drive our cybersecurity platform. You will work closely with our engineering team to build robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and services

• Optimize performance and scalability of our infrastructure

• Ensure security best practices are implemented across backend systems

• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience as a Backend Developer (including military services)

• Strong proficiency in Python

• Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL - e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Clickhouse)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring (Opentelemetry, Prometheus)

• Understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with cybersecurity/deeptech/networking is a plus
