Job Overview:
SentinelOne is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Vice President of GTM Strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the Go-to-Market strategy to drive business growth, enhance market positioning, and strengthen our competitive advantage. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing successful GTM strategies within the cybersecurity industry, with a focus on scaling globally.
Key Responsibilities:
GTM Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine the overall Go-to-Market strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the cybersecurity landscape.
Market Positioning and Differentiation:
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics to drive product positioning and differentiation.
- Work closely with product management to ensure that GTM strategies align with product capabilities and roadmap.
Sales Enablement and Pipeline Ownership:
- Own the sales pipeline end to end, driving strategies for lead generation, prospecting, and deal closure.
- Partner with sales leadership to create effective sales enablement programs, tools, and collateral to empower the sales team.
Global Scaling:
- Develop and execute strategies for scaling GTM initiatives globally, taking into account regional nuances and market variations.
- Collaborate with regional teams to tailor GTM strategies for diverse markets, ensuring consistent messaging and brand positioning.
Board Meeting Preparation:
- Play a key role in preparing for board meetings by providing strategic insights, performance metrics, and recommendations.
- Clearly articulate GTM strategy, market trends, and business impact to the board, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the cybersecurity landscape.
Pipeline Acceleration:
- Develop and implement programs to accelerate the sales pipeline, including demand generation, channel partnerships, and strategic alliances.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and GTM strategies.
Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze competitor activities to identify strengths, weaknesses, and market opportunities.
- Use competitive intelligence to refine and optimize GTM strategies for maximum impact.
Metrics and KPIs:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of GTM strategies.
- Regularly report on performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Foster strong collaboration with product management, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure a unified approach to market strategy and execution.
- Act as a liaison between executive leadership and operational teams to communicate GTM strategy and progress.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in senior-level GTM or strategy roles within the cybersecurity industry.
- Proven success in developing and executing Go-to-Market strategies that resulted in business growth and market expansion.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity trends, technologies, and customer needs.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decisions.
- Experience in scaling GTM initiatives globally, considering regional variations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
