Who you are:

A dynamic, energetic, analytical individual with a strong customer-facing focus to join our growing Risk team. The ideal candidate will have experience in credit underwriting of businesses of all shapes and sizes in addition to a strong analytical mindset, be detail-oriented, and have strong prioritization skills. This individual will help manage a portfolio of commercial trade credit AR and perform analytics across the credit lifecycle from origination to collections. The role will be a mix of portfolio-level credit strategy, data analytics, research, and account-level underwriting.

Base Salary Range: 130,000-180,000

Responsibilities

  • Utilize underwriting expertise to assess and evaluate buyers applications for credit risk.
  • Manage Trade Credit program with internal stakeholders and our customers to achieve successful ramp-up.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential clients, merchants, and partners through comprehensive financial analysis, industry research, and risk profiling.
  • Analyze financial documents, business plans, and credit reports to make informed underwriting decisions.
  • Develop and implement procedures for customer onboarding to the terms program.
  • Implement risk assessment models and tools to proactively identify potential credit issues.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the leadership team on the credit risk landscape.
  • Develop and implement credit scoring models and other risk assessment tools to enhance decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and manage the existing credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and proposing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Regularly review and update credit policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3 years proven experience in credit risk management and underwriting, preferably in the Fintech/ Banking industry.
  • Strong experience in SMB underwriting, using alternative data sources.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit scoring models, risk assessment techniques, and regulatory compliance.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
