About Balance
Balance is a fast-growing B2B payments startup revolutionizing how businesses offer net terms and credit lines. Our AI-powered payments platform enables companies to automate and scale their credit and payment operations, making B2B transactions as seamless as consumer payments.
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to help fuel our outbound sales efforts, identifying and engaging high-potential prospects. We are looking for a hunter who is hungry to chase and build a pipeline, eager to learn, and constantly thinking of creative ways to work smarter, better, faster.
This role is targeting North America & will require at least 2 days of US hours per week.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do - Intelligent Prospecting
- Own Outbound Prospecting – Generate quality sales opportunities through proactive, strategic prospecting and networking.
- Target the Right Buyers – Identify and reach out to decision-makers in payments, finance, and growth-focused roles within B2B industries.
- Cold Outreach Mastery – Drive engagement through strategic cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn messaging, and other creative channels focusing on Enterprise and Mid-Market prospects.
- Experiment & Optimize – Continuously test messaging, channels, and approaches to improve conversion rates.
- Collaborate with GTM – Work closely with all other teams in go-to-market to drive pipeline and ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.
- Track & Report – Maintain detailed records of outreach, engagement, and pipeline progression in our CRM.
- Conferences & Events - represent Balance at industry events.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in outbound sales or business development in a B2B SaaS, fintech, or payments company - advantage
- English Native speaker- MUST
- Experience in strategy, consulting, or banking - advantage
- Hunter mentality with an interest to learn and dig in while staying flexible and adaptable to a quickly adjusting environment
- Proven ability to generate high-quality sales meetings through outbound prospecting.
- Strong understanding of B2B payments, net terms, and credit solutions - advantage
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills – you know how to get a response.
- Resilience & Drive – You thrive in a high-volume, high-velocity sales environment and don’t take "no" personally.
- Data-Driven Mindset – You track your performance and adjust your approach based on results.
